Let’s take a closer look at the four major ways we increase efficiency and save our clients money:

  1. We are in the mail business; that’s all we do. We print, process and mail invoices, statements, bills and letters for hundreds of businesses throughout the United States, five days a week, 52 weeks a year. It costs a business 49 cents to mail a one ounce letter (48 cents if it’s metered rather than stamped), but if Towne Mailer is able to totally automate that letter in accordance with USPS regulations and sort it down to a complete five digit+ zip code, the postage cost is reduced to as low as 37 cents. Our clients share in these savings when they pay the all-inclusive rate we charge to print, process and mail the invoice, statement, bill or letter.

  1. Buying inventory in bulk. Whereas a business may buy a carton or two of envelopes and paper as needed over time, Towne Mailer buys its paper and envelopes in semi-truck loads directly from the manufacturer or wholesaler. While a business might spend an approximately 12 cents for one sheet of laser paper, one #10 double window envelope and one #9 single window envelope in house, Towne Mailer spends half that much. Again, our clients share in those savings.
  1. Investing in the best technology and equipment. This is where time and energy savings come into the equation. Let’s assume that, at the end of the month, you need to print, process and mail 1,000 statements. For two staff members it is an all-day affair to print, fold, assemble, meter and mail documents – and at what cost? Machine, labor, material, and intangibles (because they could have been more productive in your real business and contributing to your profit rather than to your overhead). At Towne Mailer, the entire print, process and mailing of those 1,000 statements would take, at most, 40 minutes! The reason is that we use high-speed laser printers and 6-station intelligent inserting machines that accumulate, fold, insert and meter. We also have a high-speed optical scanner sorter for statement runs that do not qualify as their own mailing for the best and lowest automation presort postage rates. This time and effort savings is also reflected in our keeping the Basic Rate we charge a client reasonable so both the client and Towne Mailer benefit.
  1. Hiring and training an effective staff. Towne Mailer has been in business for 15 years. Almost all of our full time staffers have been here 10 years or more. This means that they know what they are doing and how to do it right. It also means that they are dedicated to keeping up with the constant changing postal regulations and to providing the best in client care and service.
