To create professional-looking mailers, you can print envelopes from your word document. Microsoft Word comes with a variety of envelope sizes pre-installed. The most common choice is the Number 10 business envelope. To make sure that your envelopes are the right size, select the desired size in the Envelopes and Labels dialog box. After selecting Envelopes in the Custom Page Options dialog box, click Advanced.

Next, choose a font for the text, size, and color of the envelopes. After making the selections, click “Save” to save the changes. Choose a font that matches the letterhead. Add a ZIP+4 code

Once you’re registered, you’ll have to set up your address service, media type, and authorized users.
The ZIP+4 code is a five-digit number that contains a hyphen and four additional numbers to help the Postal Service find the recipient. Remember to be legible when you fill in the information. Use black ink, and avoid hard-to-read fonts. When mailing an envelope, USPS automated processing machines scan it from the bottom up, so the information should be accurate. 

Write the street name on the envelope 

When addressing an envelope for mailing, remember to write the street name first. If your recipient lives in a rural area, you can substitute an estate name for the street name. Regardless of the location, make sure to use uppercase letters and hyphens between the street name and unit number. Then, follow this with the person’s name and address. For international mail, include the recipient’s full name and the country they live in. If they are a member of the military, include their duty station or APO (Air/Army Post Office).
